In a move that will most likely ruffle a few gamers' feathers, the head of the iPhone's marketing, Greg Joswiak, recently claimed that the iPhone is the future of gameplay, while other handheld consoles (namely the DS and PSP) are "in the past" ...

iPhone marketing big shot Greg Joswiak has pegged iPhone as "the future of gameplay", while Sony and Nintendo's dedicated gaming portables are "in the past".

"There are already so many games and as we look at it, to us it really seems [The iPhone] is the future of gameplay. Whereas a lot of these devices [Nintendo DS and Sony PSP] are more in the past," he boldly stated.

Well, you know Apple does make the BEST PORTABLE GAMING DEVICE. Ever. In the history of time. And don't even think about questioning it. Apple is always right. Always. They made the iPod. Do not question the iPhone. Heathen.

Did I overdo it? Can I stop now?

He's right though. The DS and PSP are totally in the past. My Zune has Hexic. The future of gaming has obviously shifted to the Zune. The rest of you just need to catch up. D:

Hehe, I thought this died down a couple of months back but obviously they're not giving up on it. It's foolish to think like that, everyone I know hates the iPhone with a passion.

While I do think the iPhone is expensive, depending on the model, alot of people seem to love the iPhone. I don't think iPhone will obliterate DS and PSP, but it could at one point become a competitor.

Well I personally think they can shove their iPhone up their collective asses.I don't care how good games are on a phone, if I want to do gaming, I will do it on actual gaming handhelds and consoles.

Besides a phone on a plan is useless to me.

That also reminds me of a question, does America only have plans? I MUCH prefer pre-paid phones.

Naw we have pre-paid but usually they are junk phones that get the job done, but don't have much in the way of gadgets.

Im more than content throwing myself off the roof of a high building should such statements become fact. Its blatent marketing and sheer stupidity on Greg Joswiak's part.
