It was just a rumour as to what platform it would be released on yesterday, but it seems all but confirmed now as the latest issue of Jump Magazine confirms the platform and that the game will be an Action RPG.

Other details released are that there are two main characters, Ibuki and Yui and this could very well be a 4-player game, with 2D sprites fighting in a 3D environment.

Blood of Bahamut, the game which was announced via a countdown yesterday, has had a sneak peak revealed in this month's edition of Jump magazine. The magazine has confirmed that the game will be made for the Nintendo DS and that it is likely to be an Action RPG.

It's an RPG, not a shooter.

And FYI, many of us actually loved DoC

I don't know why you'd like it. Not only was it a lackluster attempt to have a shooter RPG in it, but playing only as Vincent ruined the FF7 name for a sequel. That's why I hate it. It was helped many hate FF7 and its compilation.

It's good to hear it is an RPG. I liked DoC myself. It wasn't the greatest game ever, but I enjoyed playing as Vincent and learning about his past.

Anyways, I hope we find out more about his game soon.

The problem with DoC is that it's held to a higher standard because it's made by SE and it's a FFVII story. Personally I enjoyed the gameplay and graphics......but felt the story was pretty damn week and more a stroke off for the fans.

Well we knew a game was in the works, it was the platform that was in question, and the platform was told to us by a seemingly knowing member of NeoGAF, and as usual we can't really trust anything till the devs announce it themselves or we read it in a magazine, so we merely treated it as a rumour...

Well I probably won't play it seeing as it's on DS.I love my DS, but when it comes to a choice of a PS3 game or a DS game, PS3 always wins.

I only buy DS games if I really want a new game and there's no PS3 games out that I want.

I thought it was going to be a new Bahamut Lagoon game, but this could turn out interesting as well. I'm certainly looking forward to it.

I'm not all that enthused about another hack 'n slash, but it's early.
