This has to go down in history as the top record that no one cares about. A WoW player reached level 80 in just over a day, being the first to do so. Wow.

A warlock by the name of Nymh will live on forever in World of Warcraft lore as being the first person to reach level 80, achieving this fear a mere 27 hours after the release of the latest expansion Wrath of the Lich King.

Contrary to what you may think, Nymh is actually employed and simply took a few days off of work in order to beat the game. It's nice to know that in this day and age where the world economy is in shambles that people can still take time off of work to grind.

From what I know of WoW the previous level cap was 70, which, I assume this person was already at. To get from 70 to 80 in only 27hrs the person must live a pretty sad existence.

It's no wonder that this would apply to a lot of people:

Either this article is fake, or the guy sat down right away and hasn't stopped playing WoW since the release of the expansion.
The expansion has been out for 36 hours, 27 of those spent leveling? gg...

How is that hard to believe i mean as a young gamer it wouldn't be impossible to see me playing for over 24 hours solid, that said i had no responsibilities in life and saw gaming as my life at that point in time, it's not that hard to do.

Of course, it has to be a person on a EU server.

Lmao, My mate took a week off colege this week to play this.

He's had like 3 hrs sleep over the past couple of days, he didn't speak much to me though as he had to get back on and play.
He wants to be the first person to get 80 on his server. I'm just like LOL.

Damn. That's not right at all. College should be about drinking beer and trying to have sex! Tell your roommate to be reasonable.

Wow its people like this that give WoW a bad name

This person is VERY sad and to take time away from work JUST to play WoW really shows it too =| You'd think time off work would mean relaxing but to this guy it means GRIIINNDDDD

WOW! And I don't mean the game, I mean WOW as in That's Crazy! Is the game really THAT addicting or something, or is there that much desire to level up?!

Whew, I don't want to play it then Might end up loosing some sleep or becoming hooked on a game. I'd rather leave gaming in the small place of a fun pastime and not much more

    His pet is on defensive.

    DO YOU SEE THAT, HUNTERS?
    Learn from that warlock!

I took the day off work yesterday to do a 17 hour marathon. :3 Only got to 73, but the first 73 on my server. Had me a nice sleep after that! Fun times.

Meh, I liked to pick on WoW obsessives as much as the next person, but some people do this same sort of things with non MMORPGs....

All the people who get crazy awesome scores on leaderboards (without cheating, anyhow), and get crazy good tims in races, and have ridiculous number of kills in FPS games, aren't really any different from people like this WoW fan.

They just don't get publicised as much. And often, when people think about the aforementioned people, they have similar "Hmmmph, they have no life", or "WOW, that is freakin' INSANE! I could never be nearly that good!" reactions....

I know that the previous WoW's were only up to level 70, so does that mean that the new one goes up to level 80? I like that expansion.
