Finally Nibris has begun to leak some details on their Wii title, Sadness, and they're all too juicy. Some details revealed were that there will be eighteen different species of monsters that will help on the journey depending on the path you choose. In addition, the two playable characters will be the woman seen and her boy. Also, the game will be a minimum of 20 hours (which seems pretty short) and orchestrated music will be used (hallelujah).

Over on the Sadness forums they've been having a jolly old time. Besides very recently revealing some nifty new artwork, the lucky things have been writhing around in a wealth of Sadness info - and we thought we'd inform you of the latest:

There will be eighteen different species of monsters that according to your chosen path will determine which ones you see, if any. Not only that, but there will be "friendly monsters", presumably to help you on your journey. It is also stated that two characters will be playable, presumably, the 30-something woman and her young narcoleptic son.

Wii/DS connectivity looks pretty unlikely as far as linking to ROTR goes, but for those of the logical disposition, not to worry, they'll be plenty of puzzles for you to chew on.

Some additional character details have also emerged - the young woman that will be playable is of Polish-Hungarian origin and spent her childhood in England, where she was educated and began a family. The train that crashed had many other passengers; what happened/happens to them isn't yet known. There will also be no load times.

That's the latest, as for some juicy info that you might have missed:

The team are aiming for a minimum of 20 hours game length and the vast majority will be spent as the young woman, 5% of that being spent in Poland.

Voice acting will be used. The team that is currently involved in Sadness is upwards of fifty individuals. Graphics wise - the game will incorporate plenty of fog effects during gameplay, and when asked how close the concept screenshots would look to in-game, the company's response, pleasingly, was, "near. Very near."

...and here's another answer we particularly enjoyed:
quote

Q. Will the music be recorded from an orchestra? [Or will it be synthesizers?]

Nibris: [An] orchestra. One of the best.

We're adoring what we've heard so far, and when those in-game images and trailers do start rolling in later this year, we'll be all over them like flies on a countryside picnic.
