Star Wars: The Force Unleashed costumes have been released for the price of $4.99. There are no new gameplay features, just new dresses for your virtual Barbie dolls.

While the DLC offers nothing new in terms of gameplay, you'll have ten new costumes in which to hack Stormtroopers
to tiny bits. You have three new costumes for the Secret Apprentice (aka Galen Marek):
  1. General Starkiller
  2. Hooded Combat Gear
  3. Sith Assassin

And seven "skins", allowing you to play as memorable characters from Star Wars lore:
  1. Darth Sion
  2. Imperial Commando
  3. Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker
  4. Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker
  5. Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi
  6. Ki-Adi-Mundi
  7. Kit Fisto

Those would be cool to have, but $5 is way too much.

All of those costumes end up $4.99 total? If so then this deal is even better.

They add nothing to the game. Unlike with the generally excellent quality of good mods and addons with PC games, because developers don't have to compete with their community, they're free to charge heaps for what is glorified trash.

Why can't more developers be like Criterion?

They do add something to the game. More costumes which has some added abilities or something. All of them for 5 bucks is a great bargain.

While I would like more devs to be like Criterion, I just can't see that happening unfortunately.

They're just costumes. They do not affect gameplay in any way, as the article said. I would never pay money to play any game with a different outfit; it's a waste.

    Wow, sounds pretty darn cool.

But man, 5 bucks? Why you gotta break balls Bill?

I was hoping for a release of more levels or something through DLC along with characters. Eh, the only character up there I'd be interested in playing as would be Kit Fitso, and maybe Darth Sion. Ah well, I doubt I'd spend money on cosmetic aspects of a game.
