Hoping to fix various bugs in the game, EA have completed the latest FIFA 09 patch for the PS3 and XBOX360, and hope to see it on our consoles in a weeks time. With the news of the patch, they've also released a list of the bugs that have been fixed and various improvements made:

Fixed bugs include:
- Fixed side-stepping issue on lofted through balls
- Improved advantage rule: fixed goals being called back for free kicks
- Improved number assigning in Manager Mode
- Allowed up to 8 user-controlled teams in Tournament Mode
- Removed ability to bring custom teams into Online ranked matches
- Fixed Stadium 23.Maj lag issue
- Fixed join issue in Online Team Play Lobbies
