Most DLC isn't even worth your time or money. Most of it is a skin or something else lame for your character. But Ubisoft wants to change that. They said they want to the DLC for rince of Persia to significant, almost to add a seqaul or prequal to the storyline. Now that is worth your time and money.

Ubisoft producer Ben Mattes has said downloadable content for the new Prince or Persia game is very much part of the plan, and will add "significant value" - perhaps even as much as an entire prequel or sequel.

"We certainly have plans for downloadable content, [but] we can't really say more than that right now," Mattes told Gamersyde in a video interview.

"The intention is to do downloadable content that adds significant value, so I don't think you'll see downloadable content of a new skin or a new weapon or something like that.

"If we're going to do it, it's going to be a new story, a new experience, maybe a prequel, maybe a sequel - we're going to do something that really offers a lot of value for the player. In terms of when: sometime next year - I'm not sure of exactly when, it's all still in discussion."

I wouldn't go so far as to say most DLC isn't worth your time. Actually, this type of thing is what has had me skeptical about how online gaming has changed the industry. I don't want to be paying full price for a half assed game, and then have to pay again for the rest of it. We definitely aren't near that level of rape yet, but it's not impossible. I like the sound of this though. The game looks very heavy on storytelling, and it might be very beneficial to play a prequel to see how the kingdom fell beforehand, because as far as the PoP series is concerned, this new game's plot came out of nowhere.

Nice, DLC needs to get bigger in my opinion. Titles and add ons like Quest for Booty, Wipeout HD and Socom Confrontation are the the kinds of things I want to see.
