Teen Collapses after WoW Marathon

A teenage boy in Sweden has collapsed after playing the Wrath of the Lich King for up to 24 hours straight....by reading the article it's quite apparent the father knew little of his activities during that play time.

The 15-year-old boy and his friends were exploring the "Wrath of the Lich King" expansion pack when he suffered what appeared to be an epileptic seizure, it was reported Monday.

"They played all day and all night. Maybe they got a few hours of sleep. They ate a little food and breakfast at their computers," the boy's father told the Kvällsposten newspaper in Sweden.

    Wow, not surprising really . . .

    But sheesh, I get a headache after playing for a few hours nonstop. Then I get spacey when it reaches about 6 or so hours . . . so I'm pretty sure at the 24 hour mark I'd be . . . yeah, dead probably.

    I once played X-Men Legends (1 or 2 can't remember) for a little over 24hours.The only thing that happened was the game would freeze after that.

    I sometimes wish I could play the game for more than 2 - 3 hours at a time. I just get bored after that amount. Kinda sucks considering you get basically nowhere in that game unless you play like this kid does. -_-;;

    This is what the warning in the manual is for. But I shouldn't down him. I once played FFX from beginning to end in one sitting way back in the day...like, 6 years ago or something.

    But yeah, anyone stupid enough to play a game for this long must atleast retain the responsibility of doing the necessities - eating, breaking for 15 min every couple hours (a good time to take a piss), drinking enough fluids. The kid obviously didn't retain that knowledge. Too bad for him.

    Wow (as in the expression), who plays for that long? He should have at least have an even longer break for sleeping longer or get something more to eat. I guess passing out means he didn't sleep/eat long enough.
