The Father of Final Fantasy has a grudge against the Father of Playstation. But now that Ken has stepped down, what will change concerning PS3 and Final Fantasy? Who knows, probably nothing though.

The father of the Final Fantasy series is quoted in Electronic Gaming Monthly: "I don't like Ken Kutaragi".

The latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly had a small tidbit of information we were able to pick out. Apparently Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of the Final Fantasy series has beef with Ken Kutaragi, the former President of Sony Computer Entertainment.

EGM had asked why no projects were planned for the PS3 by Sakaguchi. Sakaguchi had this to say: "The machine's architecture is tricky, and I don't like Ken Kutaragi."

On heels of the announcement that the former Sony President has stepped down, one can assume this is no longer a problem for the father of Final Fantasy. Hopefully for fans of Final Fantasy, his opinion will change later on.

    I'm confused by this...

No projects planned for PS3 by Sakaguchi? I don't know who's at the helm behind FFXIII and FFvXIII but those are both planned for the PS3.

Sakaguchi no longer works for Square. He founded a new company, Mistwalker, which is where he now works.

So I don't see how they can say "hopefully for fans of Final Fantasy" he will change his mind. Why hopefully? Final Fantasy fans are already getting their fix on the PS3 without him haha...

That comment made it seem like they weren't going to do FFXIII or something.

Yeah I think Sakaguchi did the first FF through...FFV or something, and later retired from Square. If I was Sakaguchi, I'd put my slight hatred towards someone as big as Kutaragi off to get some work done.

    "I don't like Ken Kutagari"?

That just came out of nowhere. But I seriously doubt this comment will make an impact on anything major, though.
