If you've seen some of the fanfics out there for Star Wars, Star Trek (e.g. New Voyages), or the Tetris: The Movie trailer, you probably realize that some clever fans out there do better with properties than those that own them in Hollywood. Looks like the fan base has delivered again with an epic Mega Man film!

I’m really hoping this isn’t going to be shut down, but it seems some dedicated fans have created a Mega Man feature film. It seems stupid, but they actually manage to pull it off, at least in the trailer.

A few interesting points, though…

In the trailer, they call Mega Man Rock, which is what they call him over in Japan. So shouldn’t the movie be called Rock Man: The Movie?

If it is, I apologize, first time seeing the new clips and trailer.

The movie itself is old news, but the clips and trailer are not. I just hope they don't screw up and make one of my favorite game franchises look like it's completely stupid.

        *Looks at picture*
Hate to judge a book by it's cover but...a little late for that.

*Finally takes a deep breathe after laughing til it hurts*

Yeah, I have to say, I'm not overly confident. Should megaman not be um...younger?

I give them credit for taking on the task of doing this but with the extremely huge fanbase and legacy that MM has I don't think this movie does it any justice.

I never really pictured MM in a real material form but the actor playing MM is not what I would have pictured, heh.

LOL. I like the actor playing MM. You know - this is how silly I am... When I first saw the artwork, I thought (OMFG! This is a Hong Kong film starring Jet Li?!?!?!)... Once I realized it was a fan film, and got a closer look at the actor and realized it wasn't Jet Li, some of my enthusiasm faded.

I gotta admit though, they seem to get a lot of things right - I am digging the setup, wish we had more clips of the robot fighting action.

Also is it me, or is the guy with the red sunglasses supposed to be Zero? LOL!

        Or, more likely, Proto Man?

    Repost:

That was pretty impressive, considering. I think they should focus the plot more on this though -- fans deserve to know the REAL Dr. Light.

I really see no problem with this movie. As long as its good, I'll watch it. In fact I'll probably watch anyway. At first I saw the photo and thought it was Jet Li I was like WTF!

Acctually, Mega Man's non super hero name is Rock, even in America.
