Nintendo is releasing two new DS bundles featuring new colours in the States beginning on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving, November 28). The first will be the red New Super Mario Bros. bundle, and the second will be an Ice Blue system packaged with Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day; both are priced at $149.

Though this is all well and good, it won't be doing much for those planning on buying a DSi...

The DS is still a high-demand item, with hardware consistently raking in big sales on a monthly basis in the U.S. In October, the handheld sold 491k units, beating all other consoles in unit sales aside from the Wii, which sold over 800k.

Nintendo of America EVP of sales and marketing Cammie Dunaway called the DS "the most affordable and the most popular video game system in this generation."

The DSi isn't scheduled to be released till sometime late next year, so this is just to uphold the hype I suppose.

Either way, I want this. I love the color red. <3

The light blue one will pwns if it doesn't have some Brain Age symbol on it. Too bad I don't plan on getting another DS ever.

The Ice Blue DS can already be bought seperately. I think it's just a fairly popular color so they put it in the bundle.

Why on earth would anyone put a Brain Age logo on anything? XD

Holy shit; how have you not realized that changing the color of the DS is getting really *bleep*ing old, Nintendo? MAKE THE NEXT GENERATION CONSOLE ALREADY, FFS.
