Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Bungie is officially renaming their upcoming Halo 3 expansion, Halo 3: Recon, to now be known as Halo 3: ODST. The new name is said to more accurately reflect the goals of the expansion's titular units. The expansion is due out next Fall.
If you recall, this is our recently announced stand-alone extension to Halo 3 that features an all new campaign played from the perspective of an ODST in the heart of a Covenant occupied New Mombasa. In addition to sleuthing around the city and piecing together the details surrounding your squad's whereabouts, the game will also include some new Halo 3 multiplayer content as well as one or two unrevealed surprises when it's released next Fall.
This new title is a more straightforward account of the experience that awaits and the role you will assume as you explore the streets of New Mombasa. But don't worry, you can still has Recon. (the armor that is, it's still tied to the Vidmaster achievements and will be accessible via the final retail release next Fall)....

Good to see the greatest country in the world gets some respect for once.
(lure)
And yes us Aussie's rule
It's like, when the world ends, they only expect Americans to be the last survivors, or at least the only ones fighting to save everything.
In the first GoW, there was an "Asian-looking" guy named Kim, but he even spoke like an American.
To be fair, the game doesn't take place on Earth, so technically, American doesn't really exist in GoW, but you get my point, I think.
Anyway, back on topic, I much more preferred "Halo 3:Recon." I don't fully understand how the name, "Halo 3: ODST", "more accurately reflects the goals of the expansion's titular units."
I mean, aren't these guys on a reconnaissance mission of sorts?
Doesn't really matter though, I'm still getting it regardless
@Woudo - Damn right we are
Actually Dom was hispanic in gears, and some times when he says something you can hear a hint of a hispanic accent.
Also Tai (from GoW2) is I think native american or something and he has an accent, dizzy also has an accent but he's a stereotype.
Recon>>>>>>>>o.D.S.t. (notice the DS in there, coincidence?? I think not!)
And Dizzy had an accent, but it was the accent of a Southern-American. They, like you implied, made him a stereotype, and, I'll add, they made him out to be a redneck. so, once again, he's almost certainly American.
Tai is debatable. He obviously has some kind of accent, but even he, to me, sounds like a Native American.
I'm saying, how come there aren't any people actually from other countries in GoW? I'm not singling it out, I'm just using it as an example. It's not a huge deal to me, I'm just curious about it.
It would be interesting, and more realistic to have a unit in GoW that doesn't speak the same language as Fenix and his squad, or there could at least be a group made obviously from Britain, Australia, etc.
It's almost as if they made it out so, on planet Sera, either all people's of Earth moved there and decided English was the have-all, be-all language, or only Americans moved there.
The only person who actually talks like they're from another country would be the Locust Queen...but she's evil, and not even human(apparently), so it's not like she hurts the case I'm making.
