Well the OFLC in Australia has struck yet again, this time banning F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin from sale in Australia.

The OFLC is totally inconsistent with it's classifications, passing some games and then refusing other, when both may well have the same
'degree' of content. Pop over to the site to find out more, and express your concern.

Well seems like the Australian OFLC has done it again and have RC’ed (refused classification) Fear 2: Project origin. Monoliths sequel to the hit FPS F.E.A.R which was released for the PC in 2005 a year later for the 360 and then again the next year for PS3.

510Over at the Neogaf forums a user by the name of Darklord posted a thread with a link to the OFLC website for everyone to see that F.E.A.R 2:Project Origin has been refused classification. The reason as to why is has been refused classification is still unknown but i must say that it must be really bad for it to have been.

The Australian OFLC is so far behind the rest of the world it's a crying shame, and makes its self a laughing stock within the major world leaders. They still rate games as if they were for 'children' with the excuse they are protecting the children, when in fact, they already allow 'minors' to see both movies and games which have been rated as matur or adult (anything over 18) across the rest of the developed world.

Movies that are rate 18+ or 18 or even Mature in the US are rated MA15+ here, which means Lesbian scenes and both male and female gay movies, high graphic deplictions of violence, coarse language and horror are "legally" available to a plus anyone 15 yrs old and over. When they SHOULD be restricted to 18 yrs and over.

There was 'supposed' t be an official white paper discussion with public input in November, hello, it's almost the end of November, and no news of said meeting and discussion has taken place. Keep the public in the dark and pass motions and bills while they are not informed. Does that sound like a democratic society - not bloody likely.

As THM pointed out, it's entirely plausible they were bribed.
