Rez creator working on new music game

chautemoc | December 02, 2008 | News | Playstation 2 Dreamcast
Creator of the famed tube shooter Rez, Tetsuya Mizuguchi, has spoken briefly about another music game he's working on, titled "QJ". It will be developed for the Wii. Will it be a spiritual sequel to Rez? Either way, it's almost sure to be solid.
Speaking at the Atari Live event that's taking place in London this afternoon, Mizuguchi said very little about his new game other than promising that it will be a completely new experience.

Originally released on PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast by Sega, Rez was a critically acclaimed on rails shooter. What made it special was the way players created sounds as they shot foes. In addition to Rez, Mizuguchi was also responsible for Space Channel 5 and Lumines so the fact that he's creating a music game exclusively for Wii is exciting news.
