There were some disbelief about the Uncharted 2 trailer being CGI. Well knowing the amazing graphics of the first game, many knew that this wasn't CGI, and Naughty Dog has proven in it. They said the trailer was running in real time on their engine.
The Uncharted 2 teaser trailer sent waves through the forums. One question that kept arising; is the trailer rendered in real-time, or is it fancy CGI? Naughty Dog has exclusively given Gamezine the answer.
Richard Diamant, Naughty Dog's Lead Character Artist, told Gamezine; "Yes, the trailer was all rendered real-time in our engine."
So there you have it. Naughty Dog are one of the few developers to dislike creating false expectations with CGI trailers, and just like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, their very first teaser is rendered in real-time.

In which case...I believe that aside from KZ2, we have the best looking game of this generation. The level of detail on Nathan is astounding, especially on the closeup.
Seems reasonable enough in this case, the graphics didn't seem to bust my eyeballs like everyone is saying it did, perhaps it was just the particular video I saw.
As for Uncharted i think the only impressive thing was the scenery and knowing that the snow deformation could be like that in the actual game, Nathan looked high res as always but that is what gave it away. His clothes just weren't as polished or as fluid as they would have been in a pre rendered clip, so good ol' Nathan gave the secret up that it was all real time.
But anyways; I've only played Uncharted and MGS4 on my PS3, and I liked Uncharted more.
I cant wait for the sequel.
Tis the season unfortunately iLL.
Uncharted 2 for the win!
