UK publisher "Imagine" has recently announced that it ill be suspending it's magazine N•Revolution because Nintendo "is no longer in line with Imagine Publishing's target readership, and has moved increasingly away from the hardcore gaming community".

“The decision to suspend N•Revolution has been taken because it has become increasingly obvious that Nintendo’s strategy for Wii and DS is no longer in line with Imagine Publishing's target readership, and has moved increasingly away from the hardcore gaming community that is our specialty,” managing director Damian Butt explained.

    What? I mean I don't subscribe but...

Maybe that will get Nintendo seeing the hole in their plan.

Not really, seeing as this wont effect Nintendo at all. Nor will it effect the tons of money they will make of casual gamers.

Do you really think one magazine stopping production is going to get Nintendo's mouth off the cash nipple that is casual games?

All it takes is one bad thing to turn into a domino effect. And believe me, this bad, even for Nintendo.

Wow, that's pretty extreme. I'm guessing they were having some money troubles as well, moving away from the hardcore isn't enough to warrant closing down a magazine all by its self I think.

yes it does. especally if the sells of the magazine aren't what it used to be....they have every right to shut down the magazine.

But that's what I said, if sales are down it would give them more reason, but by itself I don't think it's enough to throw away jobs, money and future's.

sure, keep putting out a magazine that isn't making enough money to warrant it's existence just because they dont want to put anybody out of a job.
      think of the trees.

Well, at least you guys still get the official UK Magazine, which from what I've heard is pretty good.

But yeah, it's pretty extreme to throw away their money and jobs, it has to be a sales thing, they just don't have the nerve to blame themselves.
