'Pitch Black' Multiplayer mode revealed for Riddick

An interesting new multiplayer game mode has been revealed for the new Chronicles of Riddick game. It sets you in a 'pitch black' arena and one player gets to be the past moving, sword weilding riddick with easy night vision, while everyone is a grunt with a simple flash light. Kill Riddick and you become him. This sound like a fun, scary time.

tarbreeze has divulged details on Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena's unique multiplayer modes, including a poo-your-pants 'Pitch Black' game set, yes, in the dark.

Spilled in the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine US, Riddick's new online modes include the obligatory 12-player deathmatch and capture the flag modes, as well as an interesting Butcher Bay Riot game that pitches three teams of four against each other.

    Reminds me a bit like Ninja Juggernaut from Halo.

    I like the idea though, sounds awesome.

    Reminds me more of Sneak mode in Metal Gear Online, I'm more interested in the fact they have 20 maps, most games don't offer even half that.

    This game just keeps getting better and better. I loved EfBB, and I'm getting pretty certain that I'll love this one too.

    They should've included a Survival mode where you square off against the millions of aliens from "Pitch Black".

    Haha, man I would like to play the mode by itself. I'm not too interested in the game, but that mode . . . I like the sounds of it. Hopefully though, like FB Mentioned, it's done right.

    I agree with seeker too . . . they should have included something like that.
