People are buying Wiis not even knowing what they do. That's why it's so popular.

It cannot be that much of a gimmick. A lot of people that I know like the concept of it.

What Wii Fit? It comes in English, you just have to set it to it. Or are you talking about because it is Nintendo it is from Japan?

Given that Nintendo is the most successful VG company in Japan at the moment...It's pretty ironic that a Nintendo product is among the highest for "accidental purchases".

Who would make salted sweets? Salt would totally make the sweetness of it completely pointless.

Impulse buying maybe? There are plenty of things I've seen in a store, loved it, bought it, then got home and realized I didn't really need (or want) it.

... it especially happens with clothes.

It's $90 USD, at least when I was at the mall last and happened to see it for sale. I could never see myself wasting that much money on such a contraption, which is why I advised my parents not to buy it for my sister.

Yet they make all of these commercials and videos about Wii Fit to make it look great, and knowing how japanese are big gamers, you'd think they'd love it. Just a way to show that commercials and videos are the opposite of what it really is.
