IronClad's Sins of a Solar Empire game earned the #3 spot in Wired's Top PC Games of 2008 roundup! Ironically, the list they didn't make is of the 10 most pirated games of 2008.

But, to celebrate their #3 spot, we took five Collector's Edition copies down to their office and had them signed by the team. We're going to be giving them away, along with IronClad t-shirts and copies of the Entrenchment expansion, very soon!

In the meantime, here are Craig and Blair Fraser signing copies.

Expand, explore, exploit, exterminate. Become the master of the universe in this elaborate interstellar strategy game. "Epic" doesn't even fully encapsulate the scope of Sins of a Solar Empire. The depth of the gameplay and the customization options are amazing enough. But when you extrapolate them out over the game's nearly-endless virtual spacescape, you see why Sins fans regularly claim to have spent thousands of hours immersed in it. -- Earnest Cavalli

So they're not giving away free copies yet? Mishtram mentioned good things about this game to me, but I can't afford it at the moment. I'll keep my eye out for this contest or whatever it is.

It's a good game if you love the Sci-Fi RTS games. I plan to replay it and review it soon yet I wasn't counting on a high "to do" list taller than the empire state building

Indeedy I did, because it's an amazing game I'd recommend to anyone looking to get something good out of the Strategy genre.

And, for the record, I plan on grabbing myself one of those expansion packs, lol! Been looking forward to this for a while, can't wait to here more!

Great to see that Sins has done really well for itself. Entrenchment is going to make it better! It would be cool to get a signed copy.

Our old editor-in-chief here at ugo, Scoop, was hooked on this game and tried to convince me to pick it up. Once I am done with The Witcher and Fallout 3 for the PC, I think I will check it out.
