Recently, there has been an explosion of hackers playing Left 4 Dead with the ability to change game asset values leading to all manner of chaos. Today, however, Valve has apparently fixed the problem via a server patch. Let's just hope we don't run into anymore giant players or zombies anytime soon.

Apparently, Valve has patched Left 4 Dead game servers to disallow the recent cheating to continue. Clever gamers figured out how to access the game console and alter values while playing. This resulted in all manner of craziness from invulnerability to players looking 1000 feet tall. Seriously, check out the vid below...

Ok, I was drunk last night when I got in and started to play last night around midnight, saw the wackiness, and decided I was losing it, and needed to go to bed to sober up and get ready for work today.

Thank the maker, I wasn't losing my isht last night. Wow... Vindication!

I really have a personall vendatta against hackers. I wish they would play together on hack-friendly servers, instead of ruining the game for ppl like myself.

I can't stand hackers. Argghhh! I don't see how it is fun to cheat. Takes all the skill out of the game, so why even play?

To each his own (I'm a liberterian) - I don't mind hackers and cheaters doing it on their own time during their own gaming sessions as long as (in multiplayer) it doesn't ruin my gameplay experience. That is when I get my underoos in a bunch.

I have nasty nasty memories of old school Unreal Tournament and those headshot hacks.

Lmao at giant players xD I'd pay good money to see hackers win based on the fact that they were giants
