Spiderman 3 Box-Art Screw-up

I never thought this would ever happen, but now that the PS3's font is identical to the Spider Man's font, this has created some confusion and it does certainly look like a PS3 game rather than a Xbox 360 game with that font on the side.

Okay, I can’t speak for the game yet - who knows, swinging around cityscapes for a third time may be just as fun as the first outing. But my God, Sony has painted themselves into a corner with this whole PS3/Spiderman font crossover thing. I mean, just look at that Spider Man 3 360 box. There’s the big sideways, PS3 -font logo on the lefthand side, which would make me think “Oh, this must be a PS3 game!”, but then there’s that huge honkin’ Xbox 360 logo at the top! Gah! And to top it off, there’s a big “3” smack-dab, front and center. Does this mean Playstation 3? It’s like, it’s a PS3 game… but it’s NOT a PS3 game. Whoa. It certainly looks like it has something to do with the Playstation, what with that PS3 font and all. Oh wait, that’s the Spiderman font as well.

Of course, we all know what this means. It’s all part of a secret, UNDERCOVER PLAN by Sony and Microsoft to make people amenable to their UPCOMING MERGER! That’s right, you heard it here first! RUMOR: Sony and Microsoft will merge, soon after the release of Spiderman 3. Or is it SPIDERMAN 3? Anyway, it all makes perfect sense!!!!! It’s the only way to counter the threat of Nintendo taking over the world with their magic wands!!! Can’t you see, CAN’T YOU SEE!!?!!!?! (brain asplodes)

    I don't see how anyone could really get it confused. Unless they are a really stupid parent buying something for their kids. But still, it says "Xbox 360" at the top. It's kind of obvious.

      Totally agree how could someone think it was a ps3 game when it has XBOX 360 aloing the top of the case like that. Seems like stupidity on the consumers aprt mroe than anything

    Haha, I agree with Vito, you've got to be stupid to *bleep* this up, but that's still awesome.

    I also see how they've failed to paint themselves into a corner. If anything Sony has managed to infiltrate the 360 from the inside out haha.

    Also, that whole last paragraph really makes this entire article lose any and all credibility, not only that, but it wasn't a "screw up" at all.

    Well who cares about this crap, its there fault. But i have some interesting news though, some ppl i know and others from the internet said this game sucks. There are a few problems if you go a little high on buildings, lots of glitches. and bad stuff for both systems i think. I cant really say if this is true cause i havent played it, but ppl seem to show some proof of stuff on the internet. Thats what i heard, dont bash me for it. Just relaying some stuff. Talk about within your selfs. Just though this was interesting.

    I just want to relay this to the slow minded person for making this BS of news.

    That is a dumb mistake. You would have to be pretty stupid to think the game is for PS3 instead of just looking at the game system a the top of the box.
