My head has literally exploded. (hence the image for this story)

I have been taking my sweet sweet time with this game and enjoying every nook and cranny (took a break from main quest after the Jefferson Memorial fiasco). This is amazing news and an incentive to at least beat the game once before getting these addons. (*sigh, I guess it is time to stop collecting loot and finish the main quest)

One of our questions dealt with March’s DLC release, “Broken Steel,” which actually takes place after the main story of Fallout 3 has ended. And, since it’s a bit of a roadblock ending, we were kinda curious how players would be able to continue on. Here’s what Jeff had to say:

YES! Get this game. Its very fun and very long, it took me nearly 55 hours to beat it. Well to be fair you can beat the main quest quite quickly, but theres no fun in that, theres alot of side quests and whatnot to do that make this game very fun.

Yea buy it for the 360 or PC. Since they have the DLC atm. No news on PS3, probably won't happen.

chautemoc, the link you provided talks about Operation Ancherage, this is Broken Steel, 2 different things. I am pretty sure this DLC thats for the PS3. I maybe wrong, but thats how I see it.

Yeah I see that now yeah PS3 gets the short end of the stick. I don't mind too much, I already beat it and I still don't feel like I've done everything I want. Even if I don't get the extra stuff, it was a great purchase.

You will have a blast! I've been savoring it since a week prior to the street date with my press copy. I still haven't beaten the main story and been playing since mid-october just doing side stuff. EPIC GAME and there is some great stuff in there for fans that played the first 2 PC games in the franchise.... but you don't need to play those games to appreciate this.

Actually I think most people appreciate Fallout 3 LESS if you play the earlier two games.

Think so, I mean - some guys, like Brother None behind no-mutants-allowed fall into that camp, but I will say he is a purists along the lines of those that didn't believe Rob Zombie's Halloween remake... I played through the first two this year and was done by August (2 months to FO3), and while I love the original and they are special - still LOVE what bethesda did....

Then again, I liked the Rob Zombie Halloween remake... and defend MGS2... so my tastes are... odd.

Gardiner: Based on a lot of feedback, we're going to allow the player to continue on after the main quest ends in the Broken Steel DLC. While a lot of details still have to be sorted, this will allow the player to continue on and play in the Wasteland enjoying the side and freeform quests, along with any new downloadable content we have planned in the future. £

    GET IN!

So all Fallout DLC is exclusive to the 360?

Things like this make me glad I bought it on the 360..

Woah, another story after the end of the game? This is starting to remind me a HELL of a lot like the Half Life 2 Episode expansions, that are set after the main story of HL2, and in turn making a completely new game.
