Though we got a little peek of this back in October via the Tokyo Game Show, the latest issue of Famitsu gives us blatant evidence Resident Evil's Jill Valentine is in fact, dead.
The full engraving on Valentine's tombstone reads:
"In Ever Loving Memory of Our Dear
BSAA
Jill Valentine
1974-2006"

EDIT: Now I see it.
and I don't get the 2006 date anyway. even if it's true and Capcom killed her, did she die offscreen/in a flashback? that's like killing Megaman/Lara Croft off-screen. *bleep* imho.
I see tons of stuff all the time we report that other, often more popular sites, break days, sometimes a week later.
Can't be on top of everything always.
Probsbly is some sort of hoax in game...
true, they were always simple but this looks just plain wrong.
if the main protagonist dies, it should be in game, not in flashbacks. if they killed her offscreen then *bleep* Capcom, Takeuchi can go play this by himself.
btw, why doesn't gamegrep have a thumbs down function? like n4g?
The real main characters never die. Some of the side characters don't die!! (billy anyone?)
It would add much drama if she did die, which i'm pretty sure will be in one of the flashbacks, but heres hoping Capcom follows through.
I like Jill and all, but still it would make for a sad story.
If Jill had to die, then I'd want it to be in an emotional blaze of glory on-screen.
If it ends up being true then damn! This is worse than the shitty way Harry Mason died in Silent Hill 3. >_>
I mean they could have probably gotten more sales if Leons name was on that tombstone. 8D
