First Star Wars: The Old Republic Gameplay Footage Unveiled

The first video documentary of upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic has been released by LucasArts and BioWare this afternoon. SW: The Old Republic will allow players to join the Sith Empire and Jedi Republic and take part in a galactic conflict.

LucasArts and BioWare have released the first video documentary for the upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. "Documentary" might not be a word that gets you all hot and bothered but it's showing off in-game footage of Old Republic for the first time ever so check it out.

    Looks kind of cool. Though they have to be idiots to think that theirs is the first MMO to incorporate story. Hell, FFXI has not only one but several great story lines. Though, I am interested in this light/dark side thingie they're talking about. I could either be really cool or a complete failure.

      Yeah I laughed at that too. Seems like every MMO these days touts their "integrated and evolving story" or whatever they bill it as.

    Doesnt look cartoonish as I'd originally pegged it, which is great. Lots of potential...we'll see if it lives up to the first.

    Whats the pricing model or whatever though? I recall reading about it and being turned off..but I cant remember.

    It's alright. For some reason this doesn't really sound like a MMO I was picturing.

    Looks pretty good to me, hopefully it will be a success. I would love a great Star Wars MMORPG.

    So basically the game has choices but ultimately you will still end up either light or dark. That kinda negates the choices as even then unless they make the choices cryptic everyone is gonna know what is a bad or a good choice.

    Poor Galaxies, it had promise. I'm still hoping for a Star Trek MMORPG, but the one being developed a few years ago only had the option of being in Starfleet, something I didn't like.

    I have a lot of hope for this game, just don't let Sony near it-- they *bleep*ed up Galaxies to no end.
