A small news piece describing why Call of Duty 4 won't be receiving any more downloadable content from Infinity Ward. The company is moving on to their next project.

Halo 3 has an expansion pack on the way next year but don't expect any new content for the game's longtime Xbox Live competitor Call of Duty 4. Developer Infinity Ward has moved on to other things.

    I guess this is bad news to those avid COD4 fans out there, however lets hope that their next project is equally, if not more successful than COD4!

    hold on, all we did get in terms of DLC was 4 maps
    (well 3, ones never on the playlists)

    there wasnt much support for it anyway

    Wait, does the whole "no more Call of Duty 4 DLC" include playlist updates as well ?

    I'm still waiting on those new gametypes they announced a while back.

    Personally, I wouldn't have expected anymore downloadable content... The new COD's out now, so why would they waste time on the old one, even though Infinity Ward have little to do with COD5.

    They released a COD3 one for some reason some time ago. But yeah, I wouldn't really expect them to work on COD4 anymore.
