A Missouri State student is truly the next generation detective after the heist of his Xbox 360 went so wrong. Arriving back to his dorm to find his Xbox 360 console stolen during his departure, he noticed his 360 controller was still there. He also noticed that the controller still connected to the console, which meant that is was within 30 feet of the device. Through the process of elimination, and running around all parts of the building he was able to track down his lost console. Sadly though, upon inspection the hard drive was completely formatted.

Ketsenburg said that the Xbox's hard drive was formatted, erasing all of his data. Ketsenburg said he was upset about that. Ketsenburg said that, overall, he was annoyed by the series of the events that transpired. Ketsenburg will be prosecuting the offender, he said. The incident report confirms this. "I'm going to try to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, because I had to follow all the rules, so let's make sure it gets done right," Ketsenburg said.

As of the time of the interview with The Standard, the offender had not visited the room in question to realize that the Xbox had been recovered, Ketsenburg said.

Lol, in the quote alone, the word "Ketsenburg" was used way too much.

Man, I hope that scumbag that stole the 360 gets tossed in jail and kicked out of that dorm, and at least suspended by Missouri State.

What is wrong with that thief ?

If you're going to steal the console, you might as well steal the controller as well.

    Idiot.

Heh, the thief must be really stupid to leave the controller behind when stealing a Xbox 360, especially if he only lives only 30 feet away from the person he stole it from

yeah kids, if you read the source...that's not how to submit articles, so don't use it as a teaching aid

Man, too many Ketsenburg's. There are many other words that could replace that, such as first name, surname, victim and so on.

Anyhoo back to the article. This one has to go on the America's Dumbest Criminals show XD

According to the article the guy stole it in the middle of the night while Ketsenburg and Ketsenburg's roommate were asleep. That may be why he didn't take the controller, he was paranoid about waking them up in the first place. That sounds kinda fishy, though. Ketsenburg just happened to come back at like 2-3am and fell asleep with the door unlocked and the thief just so happened to be awake, and, known that they had come back, and, had a 360, and had the door unlocked?

No no no, you're doing it wrong. You can't use pronouns like They to describe Ketsenburg and Ketsenburg's roommate. That wouldn't be annoying. Every time you refer to Ketsenburg you must call him Ketsenberg. And if you're really good you can start every sentence of a paragraph with Ketsenburg.

Its surprising how through the panic, he managed to remember the wireless distance. Unless people borrowed his Xbox a fair bit in the dorms and he wasn't panicked just yet.

Haha, and you guys wonder why I wanted to write as long of a synopsis as I did. Didn't want Ketsenburg appearing on gamegreps homepage. Still though, I enjoyed the read.

Good on him for using his head and tracking his 360 down via his wireless controller. Good job Ketsenburg!
