I love how Soul Calibur won best fighting game. How many other fighting games are there out there in contention? Exactly =P

There's MK vs DCU, DBZ: Burst Limit, Castlevania Judgement, two different Naruto games for the 360 and PS3, a KoF game, and maybe one or two others, can't recall anymore.

But these years, fighting games have been a little dry. Next year we're getting Street Fighter IV, and hopefully Tekken 6.

      ----------------------

The voice actor for Niko deserved that award, imo. Overall, I'm satisfied with the list.

True, though that can be debated as a platformer. It's odd, I think VGA went with everything from late March/early April and on. Why? No idea.

Until i read that GTAIV got GOTY..

Wow what a pile of crap.

So why did Media Molecule get studio of the year when GTA IV won the best game. Didn't Rockstar also do Midnight Club?

      Littlebigplanet > GTAV+Midnight club

      Soo uuhh...what best ps3 game?

Yeah, LBP was better for me too, but the fact that GTA won should have give R* a win anyway, plus they had Midnight Club. Just kind of pointing out a problem with their rating system.

Also, they completely omitted the "Best PS3 Game" category. They had a Best Wii game, a Best 360 game, and a Best PC game, but no nods to the PS3.

I can see the bias and BS already.

Boom Blox for Wii's GOTY? Whaat?!

It's a good game, that's for sure, but it's totally not as awesome as SSBB or NMH.

LittleBigPlanet won the Best PS3 Game award.

This particular list just omitted it for some reason. It also doesn't include the Most Anticipated Game award, which went to GTA IV. Jeez, guys, that's why you check reputable sites like Neoseeker. XD

Hmm...I would've thought MGS4 would've got that. Any reason why they skipped that category when going through the winners?

Also, GTAIV being Most Anticipated means nothing for its quality. An open world game like that should've lasted much longer.

That's a problem you see. With open-world games, expect a lot of side stuff. Otherwise, you're not looking for an RPG-length game-time. Still, it had a decent amount of story to it, a compassionate one at that.

And being that GTAIV is regarded by many as a huge let-down, I can agree with it being most anticipated. xD

Meh, I stand by my review of GTA IV.

Hm, I actually didn't care much about GTA IV until I actually started playing the game. Maybe that's why I'm one of the few people on GG who actually appreciates the game. I see a correlation!

Funny, how the most criticized let-down of the year, if not ever, got the Game of the Year title. But, you know. This is Spike. What does anyone expect?

I like all the awards LBP one, and I think Michael Hollick is pretty good as Niko, but LBP is MY Game Of The Year!
