A teen has pleaded guilty for killing a girl after imitating the game Mortal Kombat.

.... well on the bright side, for once it isn't related to GTA =/

GREELEY, Colo. - A Colorado man has pleaded guilty in connection with the death of his girlfriend's half-sister during an apparent imitation of the "Mortal Kombat" video game.

It was fairly amusing for a moment or two but it shouldn't of been made.

Poor girl...... nobody has the right to deprive the bright future of any child by taking their life.

terrible.. Not the games fault.. It could have been just as easily a wrestling move the undertaker does. Just a tragic accident.

To me, it doesn't matter one bit what the inspiration came from. What matters is the two killed a kid. And killed a kid violently. It's just as heartbreaking and anger-inducing as hearing about a baby being put in a microwave!

I remember hearing this in the news a good while back, is it just now getting resolved? Or are they rehashing the story? Or . . . is it an entirely different one?

It's always so sad to hear about when innocent children who have yet to even enjoy their lives, have their lives taken from them by . . . such people.

EDITED: Helps if I check the linked article. Yeah, same news from last year apparently.

What kind of person can't see that kicking a child and then body slamming them will end up causing serious damage?

    From the article on Neoseeker:
    quote
Garcia allegedly told them to stop and when asked why he ignored her, Roberts replied, "I don't know, I was drunk."

Care to explain the point you're stating? That doesn't make it any less his fault. In fact it makes it worse.

      Poor girl, RIP.

Jesus christ, a death from Mortal Kombat? what's the world coming to these days. Ripping out spinal cords and hearts in the game is ok, but to do a Mortal Kombat move in real life? Jesus Christ.

A fatality would at least be better than the new brutality's though.

I guess so, the brutality's are way more violent than the fatality's

This teaches you not to repeat what you see on TV/in games.

Ugh, I suppose with all the horrible things happening its just a matter of time until we get another Jack Thompson trying to boycott games.
