About a year ago in a bet between XBOX "father" J Allard and Newsweek's N'Gai Croal. The bet? That the Playstation Portable would not ship 10 million units within a 12 month span.

If Allard had won he would of had the chance to cut of Croal's dreadlocks. If he lost, however he would need to put a dreadlock wig on his balding head for an entire month and be seen with it on during Microsoft's 2006 E3 presentation. However, after losing the bet Allard did not uphold the "promise" and wasn't even seen at the presentation.

However, it looks like Allard has finally donned the dreads. The text on the PSP reads "N'gai had it right".

Pfft that's probably the only day he'll wear them, haha.

Tee hee, Croal even had a panel of "experts" dissect the situation before Allard made good on his "promise" with that charming snapshot. Beware your latent masochistic tendencies!

whats the lesson to learn? never make a public bet unless you are going to make good on it. I think its hilarious he had to be shamed into putting on the dreads though.
