Electronic Theatre delivers the news of a new Wii exlcusive title from 505 Games - We Rock: Drum King - announced only moments ago for release across Europe in April 2009.

505 Games has today to revealed We Rock: Drum King, a brand new Rhythm-Action game for Nintendo Wii, which sees you becoming the drummer in a band that’s on the road to global stardom.

Unlike many Rhythm games, to become a music legend in We Rock: Drum King you only require two Wii Remotes, rather than having to clutter your living room with potentially expensive instruments. The remotes become your virtual drumsticks as you beat your way through thirty awesome tunes, including Bloc Party’s Banquet and Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf.

No thanks I'd rather just play Rock Band. This game is just trying to be a Rock Band clone, and a better one than the original. Too bad it looks like fail on a stick.

It kinda sounds more like the middle-ground between Wii Music and Rock Band to me...

It's for those kids who think Wii Music is lame, but who's parents won't let them have the full drum kit set-up spread across their bedroom floor.

This game looks pretty good and I may pick up a copy when it is released. It doesn't look like a serious competitor for Guitar Hero 4 or Rock Band.

Too many other companies are trying to take away the traditional Guitar Hero and Rock Band with these other lame games. They are failing miserably TBH.

It's not that funny. The designers are just trying to earn some money and give us a fairly good game at the same time.
