Gamestop's reservation program helped a lot of gamers last year obtain Nintendo Wii's with its Reservation Program.

Last year, customers would pay upfront for a Wii console on Dec. 21. Then when the system arrived in stores, Gamestop would ship the Wii's to the people in January.

Now this year, there are shortages of DS Lites, so Gamestop is bringing back its Reservation Program.

Unfortunatley, this reservation program is USA exclusive.

Anyway I feel that this really isn't necessar, with the new DSi coming out, people don't want to get DS Lites. It was only helpful last year, when Wii's were selling like hotcakes.

This year, with a shortage of DS systems, Gamestop has instituted a similar program that allows shoppers to put a reservation down on the Cobalt/Black, Crimson/Black, and Metallic Rose DS Lite systems.

In order to place the reservation, buyers must put down the full $129.99 price tag for the DS. Customers who make DS reservations will immediately receive a special gift card tin. The reserved systems are expected to arrive sometime between December 28th, 2008 and January 15th, 2009.

DS reservations can be made at any Gamestop store in the United States of America.

It does. I don't see a point for that though. Just get a *bleep*ing camera. Also, it doesn't even have a GBA slot. That really turned me off.

It was this program that helped stop me from getting a Wii for about two years, since shipping to my area was very poor and many were originally reserved.
