World of Warcraft now has 11.5 million active subscribers, continuing to solidify its place as the world's premiere MMORPG. According to the story, Blizzard credits the increase in server populations with the release of Wrath of the Lich King.     They're all active? Are they counting all of the *bleep* spammers in the game? I know a ton of people who have quit WoW, but I imagine the subscriber number is still rather large, just not 11.5 million large.

    Edit - Hahahaha, GameGrep censors out gold from WoW. I guess the censor triggers are the same as Neoseeker.

      As I understand it, their statement is based on active, paying accounts and, I guess, would indeed include the spammers. I hate those guys. >[

      New accounts don't have to pay the first month, so not all active accounts are paying ones, though most (other than the advertisers) do stick around for longer.

        Sure they're active, But they are still not classed as subscribers until they pay at least once
