Braid PC release coming, PS3 version possible

Braid creator Jonathan Blow has detailed some plans and potential plans on his blog. That is to say, Braid is coming for PC around February or March, and for the PlayStation 3 maybe..sometime..if Sony is interested.

A lot of people are writing in asking about the release date for the Braid PC version.

I had originally announced the release date for the end of 2008, but for various reasons, this hasn’t happened. Once we slipped into mid-October and all the big Christmas-season blockbusters started coming out, it just seemed like a bad idea to schedule Braid for that time period, as it seems likely it’d get released and then disappear.

At this time, we’re looking at a window of February-March 2009 for the PC release. I know this isn’t good news for those of you who have been waiting a long time for the game, but there sure are lots of games out there for you to play in the meantime.

    If I knew it was coming out for the PS3, I would have held off on the purchase and gotten it on the PS3... just to give PSN some more love. Higher resolutions would be the only reason I would play it on the PC... gorgeous surreal game.

        LUCKY! >_< See... 2008 I learned my lesson:: Don't rush to get the game unless you prefer to play that genre on a specific console... wait for the inevitable cross platform release. *sigh + sad face*

      Well, don't feel too bad. It sounded pretty iffy. Blow said that it's possible for the PS3, but it sounds like Sony hasn't expressed much of an interest yet.

      The Mac version, on the other hand, sounds like it will definitely happen.

    Sony really IS full of morons if they don't pick it up. It is a pricy game, but everyone thatplays it, raves about it....

    It is a no-brainer of a game to get....
