Starting next Spring, the "Food Delivery Channel" will be available to Wii owners who live in Japan, allowing them to order pizza, sushi, Chinese, Japanese, Western, Eastern food, and lots more through their console. There's also a roulette wheel that will pick your food at random if you can't decide.

Not familiar with the telephone? Don't like talking aloud? Or to other people? Your Nintendo Wii is here to help. Starting next Spring, the "Food Delivery Channel" kicks off in Japan.

Ah good, you can order Japan's national food, Curry! Or at least the bizzare carmelized onion variant of it anyways.

      Japan's national food isn't curry

HAHA! That's what I was reminded of too

But no, it doesn't need to come to the US. Americans are lazy enough as it is (**dodges everyone around me as they throw anything they can grab**). If we want to order food, we need to work our fingers and dial some numbers on a phone, sheesh!

Order up! One bowl of quick-e ramen - with complimentary styrofoam bowl - and a delicious slice of pizza with 1UP mushrooms, straight from a Nintendo manufacturer from several hundred miles away, microwaved to your pleasure. Y4,000, please.

I smell a standard feature for next gen consoles in the making.

Edit: Somehow I just got hungry for a snack. Pizza would be soo good......

I will see if I can get a bar or a biscuit.

Well this is similar to my prediction of Wii Food. Well done Nintendo.

      What prediction was that?

        Big A2 Dec 30, 08
He just said they they'll end up making a game called Wii Food, but never said anything about ordering food with the Wii.

          Final Blade Dec 30, 08
Clearly "Similar" was entirely missed. And Black Doom I even stated the prediction in my post. Pay attention.

I say the word "similar", I was just stating your prediction, which you didn't, yet claim to have.

Naming what you untitled your idea and explaining it are two different things buddy. But Final Blade, and no offence, this seems way handier than your idea, don't get me wrong your idea for it might work with well recipes instead of ordering, but this is bound to be less expensive than a game and it would mean that if I lived in Japan I could order food without adding to my phone bill. A handy seeming investment. Besides the roulette could be a lot of fun, why pick your poison your Wii can?

Big A2, I did have that prediction have you actually read my post when Wii Music was announced and posted on gamegrep.

black in a way, regardless if my prediction was a game, it still is very similar to my prediction which this is a better match to my idea. In fact The basis is still there, thus fitting it very well. I don't like it. I find it ridiculously gimmicky like the rest of the Wii products that has come out. They should focus on games not this crap. And by games I mean real games not lame ones like Wii Music which is bombing.

I never said there wasn't similarity, I just said I think this is better than your idea. Again, no offense. I don't think this will distract them from working on the next Zelda and the new 'Wii-makes' concept they are working on and what not, they have a fair few resources. Actually since it is mainly the heavy gamers that even know about this stuff I think this seems like a good sign, or at least I hope...

hoorah, making even more people fatter and lazier -_-
..it is nice if the phone lines are tangled up or you want to order some pizza in the middle of the night without your parents knowing 0.o

This is a great way to get Lazier AND Fatter a the same time.

A round of applause is in need for nintendo!

When i first read the title of the article i misunderstood it, i thought they were giving Wii's out in Happy Meals or something

Yeah, and they say all Americans and obese and think about food all the time.

I'm actually surprised nobody in the States thought of this already.

Well the funny thing about that is, other than those Sumo wrestlers, you next to never see a obese Japanese person do you?

        HisServant77 Dec 30, 08
eh . . . well I guess next to nothing. I mean, I've seen them, but . . . not too too often. Of course, I don't live in Japan so I don't exactly have a good enough group to base numbers on.

But yeah, it is odd isn't it? Maybe it's because, well don't they walk more often to the places they go? They probably exercise a lot more. Plus their foods while greasy, are nothing compared to the processed . . . junk we Americans eat!
