Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

While regular Final Fantasy fans are going to (yet again) miss out on the newest Final Fantasy XIII trailer (it was shown in the closed mega-theater), the kind people at finalfantasy-xiii.net have given us a detailed description of the trailer and the newest FFXIII characters. Go to the source for the full trailer run-down.
And to the right is an artist's interpretation of what the new characters look like. -------->

As for the new characters..
I would not call the big new male character's hairstyle an afro, but his hair does look like somebody put a tube over his head and then his scalp exploded, permanently frying his hair up in fine DBZ fashion. It's not long and ridiculously spiky, though. Just... exploded. His hair is VERY orange, and he either has it shaved into thin zig zag shave patterns on the sides of his head or he has a lot of tiny zig zagging braids there. He appears to be wearing a frayed or fur trimmed blue vest and is pretty clearly black. He is wearing off-white to khaki colored long shorts with simple gold patterns on them. He also has a silver necklace with a rectangular, flat silver pendant, wide sides horizontal. He's present mostly in the prison break scenes, helping Snow and the other new male and female characters, although he is the only character I was able to identify for sure on the train with Lightning before she broke out.
As for the younger new male, the first thing that came to my mind upon seeing him was Gippal, probably because of his blond hair and main colors pink and black outfit. He wears goggle-like headgear on his forehead. He does not look 'shota' to me, but he does look young compared to Lightning, Snow and big black new dude. He is blond. He looks to be older than pigtails girl by a couple years. He does talk with an affect/accent. For people who know some Japanese, he tacks 'sska' onto the end of 'ja nai ka' questions to make 'ja nai sska' and 'ja nai ssu'. I don't know exactly the real life implications of the affect, whether its regional, age or culture, but it does exist in real Japanese speech. He seems to often have complaints about situations and courses of action, but help out regardless.
New female character reminds me of Yuffie a little, but her hair is at least shoulder length and appears to be tied back. She does not appear to be very patient. She has a purplish butterfly tattoo visible on her shoulder from the back. I think it's her right shoulder. Her outfit's colors are yellow, white and purple. She is wearing a very short, ruffled layered yellow skirt. She shows considerable amounts of skin compared to Lightning and Vanille. She's also wearing something like knee high fishnet socks. I believe she is shown using a gun.
As for what's happening in the actual trailer, there seems to be two separate parts being told at the same time.

Cause I don't. The information out now is enough for me atm. I'm more worried that SE are going to end up getting carried away to please all the FF fanboys with hordes of information. Just let them focus on the game not trailers.
Either Square Enix miracuosly release the gameplay trailers before March OR we hit March and get tonnes of demo footage.
I'm not satisfied with the info we have. End of story. Why do you have to debate this in every article? Do you genuinely believe I (and other FF fans) want Squeenix to release so much info that they spoil every aspect of the game? No, and that's clearly not what I was asking for. Did you miss the part where I said "I don't think it's too much to ask for a gameplay trailer or two". Jeez.
All I'm saying, and all I ever was in any similar articles is, let them focus on the game and get it finished. Fanboys(again not anyone here) have always pressed devs for more info more this and that and the game development takes a toll. SE got carried away with all the spoiled fanboys and gave us TOO MUCH info about FF12 and it turned into a disaster. I am in the same thought that it could happen again with this game with the many fanboys around the web asking for more.
Articles like these are just becoming a repetitive theme, sorry if my boiling point of these articles has pissed me off and it comes out in most of my debates in similar articles. It's more of a bad feeling that SE will end up following the path of FF12 towards the end of the 09 year.
And as I stated Gameplay has been shown, it's just not the combat system. Which I rather play a demo then watch a trailer of it. And no I didn't miss that part about gameplay trailers. But it's natural after seeing one thing you expect to see another and another and it ruin the game experience. People like to see more of anything especially something as hyped as this game.
The only people? That means everybody! Be more specific with what you mean, then people won't get annoyed your comments.

Anyways, gameplay has not been shown. A few blurry in-game images from random Japanese magazines is not gameplay, nor is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it glimpse of battle footage.
A video showing the characters walking, talking, fighting, etc is gameplay - and quite obviously what people are asking for. And after 2 years, I don't think it's too much to ask for. Heck, it doesn't even need to be a long video ... A 30 second or minute-long video is all we need. That certainly isn't going to ruin anything about the game.
But I can understand where Roz is coming from. The game was announced May 2006. That's an awfully long time in a technological way of thinking, and you can even see that in how the game has progressed. And yet, aside from the select few who lined up before dawn at Jump Festa a week and a half ago, all we have is the rather outdated battle footage from the first trailer that has been rehashed several times.
Releasing a video of gameplay would not spoil the game. It would be like saying that describing the cinematography of a film would spoil it completely.
Gameplay can make or break a game. I'd like to know what it was like before dropping over $100 for it and then taking it home to find out that the gameplay disgusts me and completely destroys the experience.
So yes, even I am getting a bit peeved that we're just getting screenshots. If you've read the translations of the articles they were featured in, most is pure speculation by the magazines and Square Enix hasn't even explained, really, how battles work. Just "Run into enemies to engage them, string combos, win or lose."
