On the back of their Final Fantasy iii remake square enix have announced a full remake of the title Final Fantasy iv for the Nintendo DS, the game will be making the jump into 3d, along with this expect to see new content such as bonus episodes and totally redesigned characters.

No release date has been set, but expect to see more of the title at the Square Enix Party this weekend

Fully unveiled on the pages of the latest issue of Jump magazine, Final Fantasy IV makes the move to full 3D. We're not sure if it's necessarily using the exact same engine as that of FFIII, although the staff that developed FFIII are overseeing the FFIV conversion.

Square Enix has a few changes planned on top of the visual update. The game will feature new episodes, allowing players to get deeper acquainted with the storyline. Character designs have been completely redone for the title.

They will be making a lot of remakes. I would like to see FF8 remade for the PS2 or PS3 as well as FF9. Having those on the PS3 would be a decisive factor for me and could possibly make me buy the console.

Ahh good to see someone else who doesn't only want to see 7 remade:D, an FF8 and FF9 remake would be really nice actually, a few years ago I wouldn't have expected to see anything like that but with their current rend of remakes you never know.

I've missed out on all of these FF games for the DS so far, maybe now is the time to change that.

I've played FFIV on the SNES though, good times. It'll be interesting to see how the 3D remake goes.

It's a good thing for me they are remaking all of the games. Considering the fact I wasn't into RPG games when they were on the SNES.
