Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
17 hours 12 mins ago
The metacritic fanboy war continues. Some time ago, Resistance 2 scores were lowered by 360 fanboys. And then the same has happened to KillZone 2. To get revenge on these 360 fanboys, a large number of PS3 fanboys have got together to lower the score of Halo Wars. They have succeeded, and the score of Halo Wars now resides at 0.8 out of 10.
Now this really does disapoint me for many reasons, the worst of which is that there are actually people out there who would create an account on Metacritic.com with the purpose just to post a low score for a game which isnt even out yet on a console they may not even own and just because its on the rival Console and wont even take into account if it is a good game or not. The fact that this also happened to other major releases last year such as Resistance 2, Gears of War 2 and LittleBigPlanet, now means that we can no longer take an user scores into account when deciding whenever to buy a game or not, since they will always have the chance of being corrupted by this petty fanboy war. Hopefully this will only be a Short-term problem and that people will soon stop this since they notice what they are doing is just sad at the end of the day.

the article makes a good point tho. still funny.
So I'm not making any assumptions, it's YOU who are making the assumptions.
However, user reviews on any site can easily be manipulated by a group with an agenda.
So this wave of 0's is why is dropped so low.
It was just a wordy way of agreeing with you.
But a complete group of strangers can ban together and lower a review score below 1.0
Maybe their is some light hidden away in all this darkness of fanboyism?
If someone throws a pissy fit and decides to do something like this to 'get one up' over the rivals then they really should be rethinking their priorities.
The real loser out of all this though is Metacritic. Gives them some bad publicity; they'd be better adding some sort of moderation policy for user reviews before this all gets even more out of hand.
If you're a kid and among friends and everything, this type of retaliation is hilarious and good for some laughs at how low each party can get the other's score to be.
Yet, in real life and considering business and the fact that these scores are the deciding factor for a lot of people, and how many take it WAY too seriously, this is truly pathetic, indeed a reason gamers have a bad rep, and a show of how ridiculous fanboyism can be!
"Hah, that should make up for losing Killzone 2."
"Yes, sir, which should we get next?"
"Oh wait, hold up, my mom's making me get off the comp, g2g."
But little retards will be, little retards.
And im sure both titles will be all good.
BUT KILLZONE 2 WILL BE BETTER! (runs off and user rates)
People like you is the sole reason I hate console fanboys and give us intelligent console users a bad name.
It's a game, and a console. Why should you care if your game is given low marks.
The best thing the PS3 folk should have done was report or whatever they have on Metacritic, and turned the other cheek.
