Whilst a PSN Demo was said to be releasing much later in North America, much after the availability of the demo via the Gamestop Pre-Order Scheme, it seems that Europe will be much more luckier, getting the demo straight in the playstation store, without any Pre-Order schemes.

The date for the demo is still TBA, however it will be before the EU release of the game.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has confirmed to VideoGamer.com today that a demo for PS3 exclusive Killzone 2 will arrive on the PlayStation Store in Europe, although the exact date is still to be determined.

If your seeing a black blob for the image, please do ignore it... it'll refresh once the sever refreshes itself...

Well, this is good news for PS3 owners, I guess. Can't someone of a different region sign up for a European account like in the case of the PSP?
The whole preorder and get the demo thing would be pointless if that was possible...

It will, won't it? I believe the PS3's region free, don't quote me on that though.

Yes, you can just sign up for a European account and download it, which does in a sense make the whole "Pre-order and get the demo" pointless, but at the same time, only us die-hard fans have multi-regional accounts. Not every PS3 owner has it (or even know that they can) and so the promotion works for them.

It should be stated that they did the same sort of thing with Valkyria Chronicles. They released the demo to Qore subscribers (and exclusively to them in the US)... and released it in Europe at the same time...

Even though I'm in the US, I think its about time! Europe is almost always getting the short end of the stick when it comes to games.

I dont want to see anyone bashing the EU, we always get short changed so why should US gamers get angry on this one occasion?

Noone's getting angry at EU getting this, mostly because those that don't pre-order from Gamestop, can just as easily download it from the EU store when it's released.

All U.S. users have to do is make an EU account and then download the demo.

It doesn't bother me, I have my pre-order code just waiting for the moment I can use it.

Well lets see, europe is getting the game earlier, so that means the demo could be released 2 days before the US release...Hopefully!

Well I would hope so, seeing as Guerrilla Games is a European based company. That probably has something to do with it.

I don't see what all the fuss is about with this demo, things like this have been done before.
