Japan gets a Resident Evil 5 PS3 bundle too!

Yesterday it was announced that Japan will be getting a Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 bundle. Now Japan will also be getting a Resident Evil 5 bundle for the Playstation 3. The bundle contains:

  • An 80gb Playstation 3 (with the Tricell logo on the front).
  • 2 DualShock controllers.
  • Resident Evil 5 game.

    On the heels of Microsoft's bundle, Sony has announced its own bundle for multi-platform Resident Evil 5, complete with special RE5 design console.

    The "Premium Limited" pack comes with a Resident Evil 5 logo 80GB PS3, two DualShock 2 controllers and a copy of the game. Priced at ¥48.980 (US$525), the bundle goes on sale March 5 in Japan.

      The XBOX360 version of the bundle is more worth, to be honest. I mean, it gives more stuff...
      Maybe Sony should've given a HOME beta or something with it...

        You don't get *that* much more in the 360 bundle.
        PS3 - Second controller
        360 - Remote control

        PS3 - 80gb HDD
        360 - 60gb HDD

        PS3 - Custom PS3
        360 - No faceplate; standard 360

        PS3 - Free online service
        360 - Free 48hr trial card for LIVE

        So really the only thing more you're getting in the 360 bundle is a tin case for the game, a headset mic and the OST. I'd rather have a customized console that not everyone would have, only 9,999 other people would have the same PS3 as I would. A second controller is awesome, especially since standalone they cost about $50+ after taxes.

        I kinda want a 360, if I was going to get one soon I would probably get something like the RE5 bundle, though. If I didn't have a PS3 and I had to pick between either bundle I would go for the PS3 just because of the controller and custom console. The 360 bundle would have been awesome if it was matte black w/ the Umbrella logo, that would be teh s3x.

      And oh god, what version to buy Resident Evil 5 for?.... With my luck, whats the bet i'll RRoD the day I buy the game and have to listen to you all enjoying yourselfs for weeks on end...

        Not really the new 360 (which I have) are really great and were designed differently to try and lower the RROD by a set number of percent.

        However I do not see a tricell logo on the 360. Well guess I might be right, the PS3 version will be the dominate one in japan.

        Microsoft can turn the game if the Umbrella logo was on there console.

          Haven't i heard that many times before... I mean every Xbox 360 owner loves the console and says it is built great up until the system dies on them. I was the same and the symptoms are always the same even to the point of turning the console on an off multiple times in the hope that the RRoD was just an illusion.
