There are plenty of things that game companies want gamers to care about, mostly so the companies can line their own pockets. Wow, videogames and the things they spawn! The industry produces everything from comics to vibrating mushrooms. You could listen to advertising, fanboys and Big Videogames secret infrared mind-control to find out whats worth your money, but youd end up buying two of everything carried by your local Gamestop and half of Amazon.com. So how much of it is really worth paying attention to?
Most of the time, though, the latest advertisement and cool-looking package is not even close to whats actually good. These are a few of the worst offenders - the games, accessories and debates that merit no attention at all, and yet they never leave us alone.

Good: Wario Land 4
Why: Rather than just being the same game with major overhauls of enemies, it has several new puzzles all over that just make it worthwhile. Then you unlock a Super Hard difficulty which has even more puzzles and platforming feets for you to accomplish.
Bad: Pokemon Stadium
Why: Let's see... You've been four times eight cups worth of Poke cup and Prime Cup, finished Petit cup and the other one, beaten all the Gym leaders and fought Mewtwo... Your prize? Instead of getting a rental Mew or Mewtwo, you get to do all that again only HARDER! Not because the enemy A.I. Has improved but because their pokemon have much higher stats!
Also on the subject of Wii peripherals, if it's a useless third-party add-on or the Zapper shell, yeah I agree, but if it's something that actually plugs in and does something then it's worth it (as long as it's not gimmicky or used for one game, like the guitar), the Motion Plus, it seems, people just don't understand, it's not fine tuning the remote, it's adding another dimension to it entirely.
