With the wintry economic climate pulling at our purse strings, Pocket Gamer has worked out the 'value per hour' rating of various kinds of entertainment.
This article demonstrates how this new system works, and provides a list of 10 DS and PSP RPGs that provide the best 'value per hour' ratings to save you money as the credit crunch bites.

A movie will cost you around £10, also for around 2 hours of pleasure (assuming you enjoy the trailers). So movies provide a more thrifty m-2-t of around 5.
Games, while costing between £25 to £45, provide tens of hours of fun. For that reason, they are supposed to be recession-proof with superlow m-2-t ratios of less than 2 pounds per hour.
So with the credit crunch crunching away at the door, let's strike a match of hope and consider ten portable RPGs that, if you decide to purchase them, will make the most economical use of your cash.

    I cant wait for 2010 already. Dissida will probly hit the US late this year and BBS sets up an awesome 2010 (GoW3, FFXIII, Uncharted 2, twisted metal)early next year

    No mention for Dragon Quest IX DS? Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days DS? Phantasy Star Zero DS?

    All great DS games coming out this year that aren't even mentioned

      They DID mention DragonQuest IX DS though. (maybe they edited the article though).

      But it is just to say they're aware of it, but don't think it will arrive in the UK/NA by the end of next year.

    YES! To a Disgaea mention. So long as you do the bonus stuff, it can last you well upwards of 100 hours. Easily 150+.

    I, of course, need to check out Chrono Trigger at some point, and Birth By Sleep too.
