Zero Punctuation: Heavy Rain

People complained and E.P.I.C. listened. The glitches and exploits for Gears of War 2 are getting a TU to patch them. This means no more invisible shields, more protection against spawn camping, the ability to use the tac/com to see the ring in Submission and much more.
There is also news of new achievements coming out with DLC. The update is said to be coming this month, but is still subject to change. More information after the link.
As I mentioned before the break we've been working on a major title update for Gears of War 2. This update will address bugs and exploits as well as add some new achievements related to downloadable content. We don't have an exact date for it but all indicators are it will go live within January. If that changes we'll let you know.
We're fixing a whole bunch of online exploits. For example we've fixed the ability to wield an invisible shield, melee through some walls, gain infinite Lancer ammo and equip a shield and a two-handed weapon simultaneously plus many more.
We're also making several small changes to improve the overall online gameplay experience. A few of the ones that might interest you are; increased penalties for quitting matches early, adding additional spawn protection against planted grenades and chainsaw attacks, and adding the ability to see the Submission flag carrier destination by using Tac/Com.

All excellent, particularly the bolded part!
I can't believe Epic gave us this shit without testing it first themselves. I mean, seriously, there has been far too much to deal with as gamers when it comes to this title.

And seriously, don't insult EPIC, because NO GAME can be released perfectly without glitches ; ; at least their fixing the glitches when some companies just leave them.
To be honest I dont know why they changed the game so drastically anyways. Its not like Gears of War got poor ratings and many complaints from the gamers playing it.
Epic tried to make Gears 2 more "Team-Oriented" and failed miserably.
