Brutal Legend Is Multiplayer Optional

Brutal Legend, featuring Jack Black, will be equipped with a multiplayer option. Little was known about the multiplayer before, but according to the article, the multiplayer was finished first.

So much attention was paid to the publisher drama surrounding Brutal Legend - it was dropped by Activision and then floated around for a bit before finally being picked up by EA last month - that details about the game itself were lost in the shuffle. The heavy metal action game, for example, has multiplayer. News to us.

    I swear I heard this game was canceled, or at least on the chopping block.

    I'm so glad that's not true! I really love Jack Black, and even if this game gets horrible reviews, I'll almost certainly get it anyway. I'm just a whore like that.

    EDIT: I do find it funny that Jack thinks he's Heavy Metal, when he is pretty obviously not.

      I don't think Jack Black really thinks he's "heavy metal". I think it's sort of a satirical/ironic joke.

      I say this mostly because, if he really thinks he's heavy metal, then he must be insane, and surely he's not insane.

      Not to say his music is completely made up of soft little melodies....but it's definitely not any kind of metal, and I think anyone can see that.

        It is a joke. He's smart enough to know the fact that anyone he classifies themselves as "metal" or "punk" is a complete *bleep*ing dumb piece of shit.

    I don't like how they're playing this as 'the best game ever made.' I understand it could be a great game, but they overplay everything a lot.

    Its probably just a new spin on the lyrics from one of Jack's songs (tribute obviously).

    It will never be the best game ever, I can expect a lot of fun and laughs from this though.
