Final Fantasy: Dissidia was released in Japan a few weeks ago, and it has already soared to the top of the sales charts, selling 104,000 copies this week, and 770,000 in total. Though I guess there are no surprises there.

01. Dissidia: Final Fantasy (PSP) - 104,000 / 770,000
02. Rhythm Tengoku Gold (DS) - 89,000 / 1,535,000
03. Kirby Super Star Ultra (DS) - 77,000 / 998,000
04. Wii Fit (Wii) - 74,000 / 3,125,000
05. Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii) - 73,000 / 949,000

There's a high demand outside the US as well, so things are looking good for Square Enix.

Seeing as non-Japanese speaking players are also importing it, this is not much of a surprise.
I myself have completed the story mode and am eagerly waiting for the English version so that I can actually understand what's being told in those epic cutscenes.

Import numbers are usually negligible in total sales.

No, I'm only buying the English one. I got the Japanese one in a *bleep*ed manner I don't wanna talk about on Neo.

Still seems a little wierd, getting a game which main feature is the story and not being able to understand a word of it. But to each his own I guess.

Unlike other Final Fantasy games, this one's gameplay is really enjoyable by itself. I even play butt loads of quick battles when I'm bored.
