Two men arrested for neighbours thinking their game's gunshots were real!

There's more reason to turn down your TV now than just the neighbours complaining. Just two days ago a report was sent to police that people had heard gunshots coming from the apartment next to them. Responding quickly the police surrounded the area and even brought in S.W.A.T teams. However it all turned out to be a case of mishearing upon the two men's explanation. It turned out they had been playing their PS3 with the sound a bit louder than usual, the neighbours thinking the gunshots emitting from it to be real. The men were released after further inquiries.

    There we have it sound in games is so realistic that in certain situations it can be misconstrued as being the reeal thing... +1 to gaming.

    They must have an amazing sound system, since most gun shots are over 140db, and most home cinemas/stereos average a peak of 100db. ¬.¬

      That, or the neighbors are completely idiots when it comes to video games, gunshots noise, and stereo systems. Im gonna go with that.

        They probably were old. Younger people would know it is a game, but old people would almost have a heart attack hearing a gunshot in the background.

    I don't know what they thought somebody would be doing firing off shots in their appartment and screaming military banter to one another unless they dragged a whole group of hostages up to their room and shot them out the window.

    Wow, this isn't funny, but, wow... I am ... whoa... They sent in S.W.A.T.? That is hardcore. I act tough, but having a darn S.W.A.T. team bust through my door and take me away for playing a shooter too loud would probably prompt me to wet myself.

    SWAT teams are no joke.

    I read about this story earlier. Wouldn't have than been a heart-attack inducing moment to be really into a FPS and then all of a sudden real counter-terror guys burst into your pad? Whew what a rush.
