The latest Fallout 3 patch 1.10 has been released (article) and it is causing some problems. Some players have not been getting required items, sometimes important ones like keys to important areas. Also there has been more freezing with the latest patch released. This is only happening on games that were starting before the patch, and is more likely to happen on the PS3.

Although the Fallout 3 1.10 patch fixes a larger number of bugs and glitches, gamers have reported that it has also introduced some new problems, most commonly on the PS3. See below for the full details.

After applying the patch, some save games have been reported to omit items - including but not limited to keys for important locations, on random occasions. Furthermore, some gamers have noticed that the game has an increased chance of freezing after loading an area.

There also appears to be some problems with using old save files on the PS3 from before the patch on very rare occasions, In these instances, the old save files will not allow the player to save nor auto-save, because the start screen has the “Save” option darkened after the patch is applied, making it impossible to save with the old save files.

I had a similar problem of the game not really reseting when I reloaded. I drank a vodka for the first time on one of my characters to get speech percentages up. I failed three reloads in a row, then on the fourth or something I became addicted when technically it was the first vodka my character ever drank.

Plus my audio freaked out and there was insanely loud and high pitched echos of footsteps and tin cans falling to the floor. Had to reset my Xbox.

All happened today within an hour and a half haha.

Went to Super Duper Mart for the Wasteland Survival Guide. I killed everyone and turned on the Protectron for a laugh. Didn't like how I missed out on 70-80 XP so I reloaded it. The raiders were still bumming around in the isles even though I hadn't entered the pharmacy yet

I didn't have any problem with the PC version yet...even with mods installed.
