OXCGN writers look at the top most wanted game announcements for 2009. Not only on the Xbox 360, but PS3, Wii and even a few PC's.

Take a look through all 15 and see if you have any others that you might think need adding. Lots of links for you on information and details as well.

So it’s 2009 and we are already getting excited and hyped over the many anticipated games of 2009 such as Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, Halo Wars and more… but what about 2010 and 2011? What about the announcements that we are craving to satisfy our deepest desires and give us that ‘one game’ we really want?

At OXCGN we have listed our top 15 games that we hope are announced this year on all platforms.
15. Black 2

Criterion are renowned for their racing games, and when they stepped away from that genre and into the FPS arena, many gamers were a little sceptical of how the game would turn out. It appeared on the 1st-Gen Xbox toward the end of its cycle, and literally just before the Xbox 360 hit the stands.

With the Banjo Kazooie 3 one. They should let Rare go back to Nintendo and we can get the cartoony game.

Jak 4 and FFVII remake are the only 2 on that list that I'm interested in.

      Although Halo 4 won't happen.

We all already know that Halo 3.5 is coming, as an expansion for Halo 3's campaign was announced.

Lets hope this time it actually finishes the fight.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Is it not Halo 2.5? I heard it was picking up timelines from the Halo 2 area... I could be wrong though.

I would love another Conkers Bad Fur Day game and ff7 remake but both will probly never happen. When the games are as good as those the remake or sequel is going to be scrutinized up the ass.

The guy who made this list is a huge PC gamer to have Monkey Island and The Longest Journey so near the top, haha.

Jak 4 is definitely something I'm hoping for. I'm a huge fan of the series and I think its one of the better series out there.

lol @ Assassins Creed 2 though. First game was horrible.

How was it horrible? It was a bit repetitive sure, but the fluent jumps and roof-soaring were great.

The game was VERY reptitive. That is a huge knock on it, so dont try to downplay its importance.

But other than that, I thought the entire "sneaking around" was done poorly, especially since it oftentimes is too easy to get spotted and finding a decent enough hiding spot to go back to being "invisible" was a pain in the ass.

So you just forget about the fun battles and the rooftop diving? Shallow.

DMD, ALL games are repetitive. Some more than others, but come on, genre is also a very important factor here. Action/Adventure games are pretty much prone to 'repetitiveness'. Yeah I agree that the cloaking and interrogating were pretty bad, as were the missions...the console versions were the same missions over and over again, but meh, they can fix that up for the sequel.

I take it you're not a fan of PoP or...Lara Croft? :S The gameplay is quite similar for those games in terms of the leaps, crawls, etc..

Hah, great list. I like that there's actual confirmed titles as well as rumors that have been discussed to death (like the FFVII remake). It adds some humor to the list.

I personally did not like the first Black. I may even call it one of the least enjoyable shooters I ever played... aside from the hilarious voice acting for the enemies.

Damn FFVII Remake! Lets have a FFVIII sequel!

      FinalFantasyFanaticc Jan 16, 09
Yeah, i'm a hardcore FFVII fan, it being my top FF game along with VI and tbh, even though everyone is screaming for a remake, it'd ruin the game.

I much prefer to play my FFVII with PS1 graphics because at the end of the day, changing the graphics won't make FFVII any better (Well unless your some die-hard graphics freak, but if you really want a remake that bad, you ain't no fan of FFVII)

As for a sequel to FFVIII, I'm already sick of the sequels to VII and the one sequel to X (Except Advent Children.....That ruled.)
