Much like Scamco has done in the past (many times), The Behemoth is offering you content that you have already paid for. Be an aware gamer and do not support this practice.

.... The Behemoth could in fact just made these characters available from the beginning, or possibly when they recently updated the game with a patch. Already I have read of people complaining that instead of working on downloadable content they would only sell much later on, they could have worked out many of the glitches the game shipped with.

Make up your own mind on how you spend your cash, just remember, when you see a download that is only 108kb in size, you already are in possession of the content you are about to purchase.

I wrote it Bandito, I assure you I am not a cheap fag

The whole ordeal is that the content is on the disc (or in this case, with the original Castle Crashers download).

Look at this thread for a little chart of the few games that do this, it honestly isn't too widespread (except for Namco, they seem to do this all the time) http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=134598

I am not sure you understand. It doesn't matter if the content should have been there from the start, it is that they already included the content when you downloaded the game originally. The code for the DLC is already with the file on your 360 (if you have the game). When they are selling you this particular DLC pack, it is only an unlock code to access the content that is on the machine.

DLC is awesome. I buy Rock Band tracks all the time. Map packs for quite a few games. But that is actual downloads, not stuff that was already on the disc when I bought the games.

I think DLC should go back to the old school method of PC gaming where it was all free. I don't care what the excuses are that the content was thought of after the game was released using Oblivion as an example. Yeah they made the content after but they still planned to leave the perfect spot free to add it like the Wizards Tower. Or even worse The Orery which was on the disc you just had to pay $4 to get the key to unlock it and even then it wasn't complete.

I think developers that do this are wrong though this is a simple case of allowing developers to charge. If it stayed free like all content used to be it would be on the disc and playable there and any add-on's would be real and wouldn't cost a thing anyway.
