No Final Fantasy XIII til at least Q2 2010

Despite Square Enix's reported promises Final Fantasy XIII would be out in North America and Europe this year, they now announce it won't come until at least Q2 2010.

The news emerged as Square Enix, the game's developers, reported their latest set of financial results and delivered projections for the coming year.

Square Enix President Yoichi Wada told Reuters that while the game was on track for a 2009 PS3-exclusive launch in Japan, with international launches for the Xbox 360 and PS3 coming "in the business year from April 2010 or later."

    Square Enix never promised this...

    2010 was to be expected in any case though - We've been saying it in the forums for awhile now.

    Demo = March.
    Japanese Realease = Approx. Q3/Q4

    Then they have the localisation and porting process, so Q1/Q2 2010 is to be expected.

    I live in Europe, so i wasn't expecting it before 2010 anyway.

    Honestly, i'm glad there's no thumbs down feature, what I say next is controversial. I honestly don't care, in my personal oppinion, I can't understand why people rave about it so much, I hate the characters, the game play, the story. Just can't get into it. Although, if you do love it, I feel sorry for you.

    I cant remember having to wait so long for a game to come out. Whats it been like 3 years since they showed the first trailer? It better be the best game of ps3/360 era for it to take 5 years to make. God of war 3 is comin out 1 or 2 years since it was announced and halo 3 took like 2 or 3 so it better be worth all this hype and wait

      If your a Final Fantasy fan there it's bound to be worth the hype.

      The bitchin's gonna come from all the new Final Fantasy followers who love 12 and realise the game is going back to ATB.

      I bet my life on it. =P.
