Jim Sterling of destructoid.com reports about a child who took their video games experience and used it for good. Ryan Tyack had an obsession with Age of Empires, so at the cries for more healthy activity by his mum, started doing archery. He's now competing in the Australian Youth Olympic Festival.

"I just sat around playing Age of Empires all the time and my mum wanted me to do a sport and meet some kids," he confirms. "So I chose either fencing or archery as Age of Empires had swordsmen and archers."

Age of Empires II was the first game I played online, and I usually used the British for their special class: Elite Longbowmen. Ever since then, I've been choosing archers throughout games for their range and such. So I guess I can say that I understand this person's viewpoint, heh.

Yeah for AoE, the archery was very strong when it comes to British. Even in the DS version of the game, they're pretty good.
Anyway, thanks for the news, because it's changing from the usual bad influence on teenagers that had become criminals.
